The Creator’s Series is a must-attend industry program designed to spotlight emerging comedic voices and provide direct access to some of the biggest names in comedy. As part of the festival’s 9th edition, The Creator’s Series will feature exclusive panels, curated showcases, behind-the-scenes access to a live taping, and - for the first time - improv classes led by some of TV’s top improv stars.
With a dynamic lineup of career-defining opportunities, The Creator’s Series is the ultimate gathering place for comedians, content creators, and industry professionals to learn, perform, and connect. Through thought-provoking discussions, breakout performances, and high-value business-to-business (B2B) networking, this year’s program promises to be the most immersive yet. Festival attendees will gain unique insights into the comedy industry while shining a well-deserved spotlight on BC’s rising talent.
About Caitlin Howden:
Caitlin Howden is a Montreal born, Toronto trained, and Vancouver established comedian. After receiving her BFA in Acting at Ryerson University, she went on to write and perform in four critically acclaimed Mainstage revues at the legendary Second City (Toronto). Caitlin has written for radio, cartoons, and TV shows. She co-wrote and co-starred in the pilot for a new SCTV, which was nominated for five Canadian Screen Awards.
She is a co-founder and former Artistic Director of Blind Tiger Comedy, the top place for comedy classes taught by established, working comedians in improv, sketch and stand-up since 2014.
Caitlin can be found on stage every Sunday night as part of the Sunday Service, Vancouver's longest running, independent comedy show. Most recently, the Vancouver Comedy Awards (JFL NorthWest) named Caitlin "Best Improviser."
Some of her favourite TV and film credits include "Love, Guaranteed" (Netflix), "Turner & Hooch" (Disney+), "The Babysitters Club" (Netflitx), "New Eden" (CRAVE), and "The Last of Us" (HBO). You can currently see her as a regular on Hallmark's "The Chicken Sisters"
